What is the dress code onboard Silver Moon?

Silversea maintains a relaxed yet refined dress code that reflects the overall tone of life on board.

During the day, attire is comparable to a five-star resort - think lightweight, comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather, shore excursions and time on deck.

From 6:00pm each evening, the atmosphere shifts to a more polished style of dress, with two general guidelines:

Elegant Casual (most evenings)
This is the standard evening dress code onboard.

Ladies may opt for blouses with trousers, skirts or casual dresses
Gentlemen may wear collared shirts with trousers or refined denim
Jackets are optional, and dress sneakers or loafers are acceptable

Formal Optional (1–2 evenings on this sailing)
Guests are welcome, but not required, to dress more formally.

Ladies may choose cocktail dresses or evening wear
Gentlemen may opt for a jacket, suit or tuxedo

For this 10-night voyage, you can expect one to two Formal Optional evenings.

After 6:00pm, indoor venues do not permit casual items such as shorts, flip-flops, T-shirts, or distressed denim. Outdoor venues remain more relaxed.

Most guests find the dress code easy to navigate, and the overall atmosphere is stylish without being overly formal.

What is the onboard atmosphere like?

Life onboard Silver Moon is best described as relaxed, refined and quietly social.

The overall atmosphere leans more toward a boutique hotel at sea than a traditional cruise environment. Guests tend to be well-travelled, with a shared appreciation for good food, thoughtful service and immersive destinations.

While this is not a party-focused cruise, many guests enjoy the opportunity to connect over dinner, drinks or shared experiences throughout the voyage. Our hosted group adds an extra layer of connection for those who wish to engage, while still allowing complete freedom to enjoy the journey independently.

Will I feel comfortable as an LGBT+ guest onboard?

Silversea is widely regarded as a welcoming and inclusive luxury cruise line, with a strong focus on personalised service and guest comfort.

While this is not an LGBT+ charter sailing, many guests choose to travel with us to enjoy the balance of a refined cruise environment alongside the opportunity to connect with like-minded travellers through our hosted group.

Silversea crew are known for their professionalism and discretion, and guests are treated with respect regardless of background. Our hosted experience provides an added layer of familiarity and connection, particularly for solo travellers or those new to this style of cruising.

Silversea often schedules informal LGBT+ hosted gatherings onboard, providing an opportunity to meet other guests in a relaxed setting.

Are itinerary details subject to change?

Yes. Cruise itineraries, ports of call, and scheduled experiences are subject to change due to operational requirements, weather conditions, or other factors beyond control.

All details are correct at the time of publishing, however changes may occur, and guests will be notified accordingly by Silversea or through our team where relevant.
